Maple Leafs move Mike Brown to the Edmonton Oilers

The rejuvenation of Colton Orr and the waiver cheap jerseys claim of Fraser McLaren made Mike Brown expendable.
But that doesn’t mean the feisty fourth line winger won’t be missed in the Maple Leafs dressing room and on the ice.
In fact, Leafs GM Dave Nonis won’t rule out re-acquring him again if the opportunity arises. Nonis has traded for him twice, the first time when he was with the Anaheim Ducks.
“When I spoke to him (before Monday morning’s game-day skate), I told him not to rule out (getting him) for a third time,” Nonis said about an hour after Brown, 27, was traded to the Edmonton Oilers for a conditional fourth round pick.
Brown was at the Air Canada Centre for the wholesale nfl jersey Free Shipping morning skate when he received the news and had a chance to say goodbye to his teammates before they took the ice. Soon afterwards, his water bottle was removed from the bench.
The trade was necessary to open up a spot on the 23-man roster with winger Matt Frattin’s return.
“It (Brown trade) was primarily for a roster spot,” Nonis said. “At some point in the near future we’re going to need to create a roster spot. We have some players with the Marlies who we want to take a look at.”
There’s no doubt one of those players is defenceman Jake Gardiner. But for him to return, Nonis will have to clear another roster spot. Then there’s the matter of Joffrey Lupul, who is still recovering from cheap jerseys china a broken forearm. He’s likely at least a couple of weeks away and that means another roster spot has to be created.
