With Backstrom harming, Wild contact Hackett

Planning to become without No. 1 goaltender Niklas Backstrom for 2 to 4 days, the Minnesota Wild on Friday known as up goalkeeper Matt Hackett in the Houston Aeros from the AHL.

Backstrom stopped five of six shots before departing Thursday's night's loss towards the Montreal Canadiens in the 2:52 mark from the first period, and Wild coach Mike Yeo confirmed before Friday's game from the Detroit Red-colored Wings that Backstrom hurt his groin.

"It is simply stress,Inch Yeo stated from the injuries to some player with past stylish problems. "There's no problem together with his stylish or anything like this. It is not as bad as a few of the groin strains could be. It isn't real near to the bone. It's all regulated within the muscle, so this is a real positive thing, I suppose.Inch

Backstrom needed the help of the Wild's team trainer to get at his ft determination save and did not put pressure on his left leg because he skated from the ice.

No. 2 goalkeeper Josh Harding made 19 saves after overtaking for Backstrom within the 5-4 shootout defeat. Harding, who had been red-colored-hot like a fill-set for Backstrom at the start of the growing season, is -3-1 having a 3.54 goals-against average in the last four games.

"Fortunately, we've two men which have proven themselves," Yeo stated of Harding and Hackett.

Hackett, 21, is 2-- having a .68 GAA along with a .979 save percentage in four games using the Wild this year. He's stopped 94 of 96 shots faced.

"He needs to go ahead and take chance for what it's -- a high probability to prove themself," Yeo stated of Hackett. "He is simply a guy that's excited to become here."
