Weight, Jilin select U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame
Doug Weight and Bill Guerin are those who choose to U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame induction.
Joined the two former NHL stars will be related to Carolina Hurricanes owner Peter · Jr., Former Michigan State coach Ron Mason male and female star Xin Dike Lane.
"This is a class that represents a remarkable contribution and success in many different areas of our sport," USA Hockey president Ron Gregoriou. "This is a truly outstanding collection of individuals, it is very worthwhile to become immortal in the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame."
A date and time, the collection will be announced later this summer.
Re playing 19 seasons in the NHL's New York Rangers, Edmonton Oiler, St. Louis Blues, Carolina Hurricanes, Anaheim Ducks and New York Islanders. He completed 278 goals, 755 assists in 1238 career games. His 1033 points are seventh-American players in the United States.
Michigan native won the Stanley Cup and the 2006 hurricanes to help the U.S. World Cup of Hockey championship in 1996. He also participated in the Olympic Games three times, won the silver medal in the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics.
